InvictDetect™ImmunoStrip®The RIFA red fire ant test strip can identify imported red fire ants by detecting Soli2 protein, and imported black fire ants by detecting Solr2 protein. Red fire ants cause billions of dollars in losses to agriculture every year. More importantly, it poses a safety risk to the health of humans and animals. InvictDetectTM had a 100 percent specificity for the soli2 protein found in RIFA venom. The test strip is simple to operate and results can be obtained within 10 minutes. The test strip is suitable for testing mixed samples containing five (5) worker ants and cannot be used to test individual ants.
