Beta-lactoglobulin (bLG) is the main whey protein in cow's milk (3g/l) and is also present in the milk of most other mammals, except humans. Bovine β-lactoglobulin accounts for about 50% of bovine whey protein. Studies have shown that bLG binds to fat-soluble vitamins, fatty acids, and other hydrophobic compounds, and is therefore bioavailable.bLG is also an excellent source of essential amino acids and branched-chain amino acids, which prevent muscle damage during exercise. Branched chain amino acids play a very important role in the process of repairing damaged stem cells, so proteins are very important in the treatment of liver cirrhosis. On the other hand, bLG is the main cause of infant allergy, so it is of practical significance to determine the content of β-lactoglobulin.
Evergreen TREATMCowThe β-lactoglobulin ELISA kit can quantitatively detect natural active bLG in milk and milk powder, which is rapid, sensitive and reliable. The kit contains all the reagents required for the ELISA reaction. The kit is sufficient for 96 tests (including standards).
Detection principle
This kit is the use of double anti sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay method for detection. Microplate coated with anti-cattleβ-lactoglobulin antibody, after adding bovine β-lactoglobulin standard or sample, the free bovine β-lactoglobulin binds with the pre-coated anti-bovine β-lactoglobulin antibody on the microplate, the captured bovine β-lactoglobulin binds with the enzyme-labeled anti-bovine β-lactoglobulin antibody, and develops color with TMB substrate. After adding acidic stop solution, the color changes from blue to yellow, the absorbance value was measured at a wavelength of 450nm using a microplate reader, and the absorbance value was proportional to the content of bovine β-lactoglobulin in the sample. The test results can be obtained by comparing the absorbance value of the sample with the absorbance value of the standard provided by the kit.
