Product Description
Most of the world's population uses surface water as their main source of drinking water, and the pollution of surface water poses a great challenge to the drinking water industry. Blooms of cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) are pathogenic in the United States and even globally due to eutrophication of water. Microcystins and nodular toxins are a class of cyclic polypeptide substances. Microcystins and similar substances are widely present in fresh water and are produced by Microcystis, Anabaena, Oscillatoria, Nucostoc, Collaceae and Hosycota on land; nodular toxins are often present in seawater and brackish water and are produced by nodular algae. So far, it has been separated.80 microcystins, the most common is microcystin-LR, the more common by YR, RR and LW. These toxins can promote tumor development by inhibiting liver function and serine/threonine phosphorylation, and can also cause acute toxicity in humans or animals. There have been several deaths. The World Health Organization recommends a maximum limit of 1.0ppb for microcystin-LR in drinking water. Abraxis microcystin total enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kit can quantitatively detect microcystin in water samples.
