Corn chlorotic mottle virus test strip

ImmunoStrip®Maize chlorotic virus (MCMV) test strips were used to detect the presence of maize chlorotic mottle virus (MCMV) in cereal crops. Maize chlorotic mottle virus is a member of the genus Maize chlorotic mottle virus, known for its non-enveloped, spherical, icosahedral-shaped virus particles. MLND is caused when maize is simultaneously infected with maize chlorotic mottle virus and a potato virus Y genus (e. g., sugarcane mosaic virus). The symptoms of MLND are very obvious and can lead to severe crop yield loss. Maize-growing areas in Africa, which are vital for food production, have been devastated by the disease in recent years.
